My husband got an email last night, now I have always thought that my cat could run the company that he woulds for better, but last night I found out pocket lint could do a better job. This is a copy and paste of the original I would give proper credit but I don't want to embarrass them and let the rest of the world know how ignorant they are. PM me if your really need to know LOL! So here is the email that was sent out to the entire company with the subject stating "Voluntary Dental Program:

Following is the schedule for the mandatory enrollment meeting for Voluntary Dental Insurance Program offered through Guardian Insurance.
For any employee working more than 30 hours per week it is required to attend one of the meetings, whether you are interested in the program or not.

That person makes too much money I'm sure

It's interesting....people get paid so much money for being stupid....

makes you wonder if they are really stupid at all...

myLot reputation of 81/100. ZephyrSun (3727)   ranked 1,393 out of 19,259 in questions & answers  4 years ago

Thanks for responding! Yes I am sure that person does make to much money and she probably doesn't have a clue. LOL

Maybe there were phone numbers, but you removed them. I was just wondering if they gave you the number for the conference call.

Mandatory, Voluntary isn't that like an oxymoron?

You're poor husband must hate his job, or maybe it's also a sense of comic relief. Either way, at least you know how to get a chuckle out of it, (and you can earn money because his employers give you something to post about) Good stuff....

lol...
thanks....

Apparently the 80% rule is right....although I'm convinced it's up to 95% of people are just complete idiots.

myLot reputation of 81/100. ZephyrSun (3727)   ranked 1,393 out of 19,259 in questions & answers  4 years ago

LOL I didn't even catch the conference call, great eye sight! I didn't remove anything except the 500 people's email addresses. This is pretty common for this company and I don't know if he hates his job but he really hates the company! He is the only person I know that has 3 direct bosses that he is suppose to report to. LOL I think the 95% is his company! LOL As you can see I forgot to block out the insurance company so I didn't do anything, they are just that stupid! Thanks for responding and also for pointing out the call.

myLot reputation of 82/100. Pitgull (1084)   ranked 2,848 out of 19,259 in questions & answers  4 years ago

Well in order for it to make sense, you had to say the name. And if it's the truth, so be it. Now that's funny. They tell you it will be in the form of a conference call, and yet you receive no direction as to how to get into the call.....

just guess....not like there are millions of combinations...

It sounds like Office Space, 3 bosses he reports to, who probably get paid for his work....

man oh man...lol

myLot reputation of 81/100. ZephyrSun (3727)   ranked 1,393 out of 19,259 in questions & answers  4 years ago

LOL I have been thinking about the lack of phone number and if I knew I wouldn't get him in trouble I would resend the email out and put the number as 800 426 6766 which would spell I a moron! LOL

confusedHey Zeph, Ya they do some dumb things! The reason everyone has to attend is to cover thier a##,they make you sign in as proof you were there and refused. That way the employee can't come back latter and say they were never informed of the benefit! I know it's dumb, but tht is the reason. As to the July 3rd thing,???????thumbdown tdemex

LOL thanks for responding! Did you see someone pointed out that the conference call doesn't give a phone number? lmao. I could see the cover your a** thing but my former employer would make you sign and not bother wasting your time with the meeting, LOL!

That's funny. People are too busy trying to look powerful to care that they come off as ignorant. Then if someone were to go to the boss and point that out, he'd probably get all up in their face about sending guessing him, or someting stupid like that. LOL

Yes good for a laugh! Unfortunatly its typical of corperate anywhere. One of the problems when a company gets to big. One thing is if I worked for the company Id go to the July 3 meeting and make sure I had a witness. :)

myLot reputation of 81/100. ZephyrSun (3727)   ranked 1,393 out of 19,259 in questions & answers  4 years ago

LOL I would do the conference call and just say oh I didn't have the phone number. I really hate corporate ignorance. Thanks for responding!

Haha this is ridiculous! I find grammar and spelling, etc to be very important, but it is funny when things like this happen :p

I have worked in a lot of places where they would put up their own signs for staff that were so badly written that nobody could understand them. When I worked at McDonalds, I remember one that was in the toilet. It said "If in the toilet, please to not go on your break!"

What on Earth does that mean? Bear in mind that I live in Britain and was working with all British people except one guy from Poland, and it's not like it was him who wrote the sign! None of us ever bothered to ask; we thought it couldn't be that important if the manager had gone to such lengths to make it totally unintelligible!

LOL It is so funny when companies expect their employees to be perfect but then when sending out a memo or creating a sign they don't bother looking at it to see if it makes sense or not. Thanks for the laugh and also for responding!
