Nervous about going back to school

Don't be nervous, just go for it. I went back at the age of 34. I was married, with three children. My oldest was a senior in high school, and my youngest was in kindergarten. Sure it was tough at times, but it was the best decision I have ever made in my life. Not only did I prove to myself that I could do it, but I also proved to my children that with dedication and hard work it can be done. I am now it the process of returning to school yet again, at the age of 38, to pursue my masters degree. Go for it and don't look back.

well...u know the value of education ...so i think whatever is the embarrasment it ll be only for sometiem...and then you ll get used to it....

There is no age of learning.That is my idea.If you want it you have to have and go for it.To be successful w/ one thing you have to pursue on what you want to achieve.And going to school is always right decission that you can make.Knowledge is the richest that no body can steal and take it from you.Goodluck for that.Dont think about your age.There is more people who studied late becouse of lack finacial problem,having kid in early stage. After 50 years of waiting his back studying and try to fullfill his dream.He become legitimate layer when he is 80 year old,but he never been nervous on what his doing.Or he never ashame about his age.Goodluck my friend...For your future...

Welcome to mylot! You definitely is on the right track. Going to school is anytime, it is never late as long as you are interested. Good luck to you! Just relax okay?

This totally depends on what you want to do with your life. I would say you are on the right track, because in this competitive day and age you need to have good, high qualifications to get that decent job and a decent income.

So long as you know what you want to do and what you want to study, you shouldn't have a problem. If you have the drive and desire to learn, the determination and willingness to master new subjects and ideas, and have the appreciation and love for your chosen subject then you are already half way there!

My mum finished her university at the age of 32, and she had a husband, 2 kids and a house to look after + a day time job as a kinder garden teacher. So if she can do it, so can you.

Just believe in you and have faith and trust, and you are surely to be able to finish it. Worst case scenario you could take a part time job, so that you have a few bucks to spare during full time school.

Education is a great thing and I want to say congrats for putting yourself first in your life. There is so much you will be able to accomplish once you receive a degree. I am currently working part-time and attending school online part-time as well. I don't think you are making a mistake by going back to school, but I would suggest to take your time. Most students overdue it in order to graduate in a hurry and don't think about the stress it might cause in their lives. If you are working full-time, then I suggest starting out with 2 or 3 classes for your first term. If you feel that you can do more, then add another on the next term. You are on the right track, just manage your time efficiently.

I went back to school when I was 23 and I never regreted it. Going back to school will be an amazing experience in your life. Don't be nevous, just go for it.
