pacifier/dummy
diaper/nappy
fries/chips
iced lolly/ice block
and over here, a sidewalk is a footpath and candy is lollies.

There are some words which are used in Britain and America, but the pronunciation is slightly differently. For instance, schedule is pronounced "shed-ule" in Britain and "sked-ule" in America.
