how to remove .co.uk??

recently i tried to create a new account in hotmail. i wanted to keep my email adress as something@hotmail.com but the thing is i didnt had any option to it rather than i had to choose .co.uk i tried may ways by changeing adress, regional but cudnt do anything.... so i was wondering if anyone had gone thru this prob and has sorted out.... plz let me knoe thanks

Now that is a strange one which I will complicate a bit more for you. I live in France, and my eldest daughter, set up her own Hotmail account, and was automatically directed to the French Version of Microsoft and ended up with a .fr address. When I set up the other childrens addresses, I went to Hotmail.com and set up the email address there and got .com endings. So I presume from all of this, it depends on where you go to to sign up, microsoft.com, or co.uk, of .fr etc or the hotmail equivalents.

i went to hotmail.com and tried to setup account from dat site but ended up having only .co.uk option so i think it depends upon da region we setup when we 1st install da windows but i tried looking there too, cudnt get any kind of help... thanks anyway for ur help ~~cheers
