Ok I admit for me, it was 4 times and dont plan on doing it again. But then its hard not to have it happen if I dont know WHY it happened. When your discussion got deleted, did you know why?

I just had 3 deleted...I believe that someone reported the discussions to myLot. I'd just like to know WHY, so that I don't repeat the error (I have an idea, but nothing specific). If I knew why, then I wouldn't repeat the same mistake twice (I'm not THAT stupid!)

Exactly my point, just tell me why. After reading diana's comment above, I do somewhat pound out a promotion when I really like something. I hate tattletails. Most mylotters tell the person directly they are breaking the rules. After awhile you know who the cheaters are between those who are new or dont really mean to break the rules. Just think back to what you wrote and I am sure it will come to you. Happy posting.

The ultimate betrayal - Like Mario, I have been betrayed by devious members of myLot and am now being watched. I will no longer really post new discussions, since it seems that someone's out to get me! What's really sad is that it could have been a friend...now I'll have to watch my back more! I guess some people were jealous--all I was trying to demonstrate was that the powers at myLot were NOT penalizing our non-English speaking friends. Now it can't be proven!
Sarge,You're right...a true myLotter would notify the author separately (as what happned for the third discussion); a troll would just report it. I'm frustrated--if it turns out that someone who just took the time to warn me also reported me, I'll be dropping them faster than hot stones! I guess I'll resort to what I know...so bear with me with my pictures!

Hi scorpiobabes. So that was what had happened to your 'experiment'. No wonder I couldn't look for it anywhere. I was just wondering what you can conclude from the discussion? Did you manage to figure out something before it was deleted? Really curious here. LOL. I've added you as friend okay. Have a nice day!

Count your blessings, thats great news. There a mylotters who knowingly break the rules (referral links). But for the most part, I dont think we try and break the rules, its a very fine line sometimes. Then maybe its just plain luck. I have seen some posts outright break the rules and never get deleted. Keep up the great work!

So are referral links allowed or not? I know you can't start a post with a link etc, but it was never clear about the referral links.

Referral links are NEVER allowed. Thats a big no no. I have never done that although I see it all the time.

The first time round I was bad Now it's different and so far so good. I had one deleted last week but it WAS my fault - I promoted a site too heavily. Nolinks but my words said it all and too much so -PUFFF and it was gone. I too see others getting away with lots of things breaking the rules but I don't bother much. I'm too worried about myself on this count and I don't want to disobey so I try and word things properly, getting the message through but not blatantly promoting because that's what mine get deleted for

I never thought of your posts as promotion but always giving some advice. Looking at your words makes me recall how mine was deleted. I "promoted" heavily too but no links. Lesson learned, slap my hand. So whats your count 2?

Hi sergeantrom. It never happened with me but I know that when one discussion has been deleted it is because break the rules from mylot. Somethings cannot be posted in discussions, only in responses like links or a recipe and somethings else. I think that you need to read the guidelines to avoid it happen again.

Thats wonderful for you. As I said before, sometimes its just luck that the moderator missed the post that broke the rule. Thanks for comment.
