The man went crazy... killing and distroying things in his path!

My daughters landlord flipped his lid. We don't know all of the details. But when one of his tenants and elderly lady was not at home just her son or grandson was there. Their landlord came over kicked in the door, and began distroying their things in the home. He put his foot through their big screen tv, broke and threw all of their belongins in the home. The worst travesty of all is he killed everyone of their pets. He just went through the house killing and distroying. It's like he just went crazy and no one knows why yet. He is in his early to mid 30's. My daughter found this out about 1:oo today. She is on pins and needles with worry. She has 6 children and several pets that she is worried about now more than ever. What is good is that she had already found a new home to move into but the problem is it won't be ready for them to move into until late Wednesday. I have offered for them to come to my home and 3 of the children are now with me. I worry for her, the children, and the pets! I told my daughter that he needs to be in jail for the killing of the animals and the distruction to their belongings. She said he won't do a day! That he would just pay his way out and would not be in trouble. That he has been in a lot of different trouble with the law and just paid his way out of it. This is just not right! He should have to pay for killing the animals and the distruction. Not only scaring the boy and others to death in the home. From what we hear they just sat there not knowing what to do as he unleashed his unholy war on their animals and home. My daughter works at home on the computer. I told her to come here tomorrow and do her work and to bring the baby here. I tried to get her to let me take the baby too when I brought the others. She said she would keep him there. He is 1 year old. They will be here tomorrow sometime. In the meantime she is packing her stuff and moving it to my house until Wednsday when she can put it in the new home she found that she is buying. What would you do if this happened to you? Do you know of anything simular happening to anyone and what did they do?? I want to contact someone besides just the police. Any help and suggestions are appreciated. Thank you all in advance!

How scary! Are you sure the police aren't going to do anything? What about the lady that was renting. I can't believe they won't do anything. Where do you live?

We live in Tennessee. I am afraid nothing will be done to him. I do not know yet if they even contacted the police. There were young people in the house. The adult was not home all they did to our knowledge is sit there in terror watch him. I' was hoping to get some suggestions for them. The young son went up to my son-in-law while he was over there doing something for the landlord. He told him what had transpired the night before. Which was last night. I would call the police no what. But I also know there is someone to get involved over the cruelty and killing of their pets. We are in an area that has nothing but small towns and rural areas. Small area small minds as far as the law goes. If you have money to pay out of situations you can. But I guess this goes on everywhere.

OMG how terrible for your family to have to go through that. Was she not home when this happened? Was it just her children? It worries me that she went back there with her baby. It really don't sound safe or is the man in jail right now? He needs to be in jail and then a mental evaluation it sounds like to me. If he destroyed her stuff and killed her pets she can file charges against him. They are getting tougher on animal cruelty charges. I recently heard of a case where a man threw his girlfriends puppy out the window and it had to be put to sleep because it was brain damaged so badly from the fall. The man received five years for doing that. She might try to call an attorney and see what her options are. I know something can be done about this. She really needs to stand up for herself over this deal and find someone who will help her. She can sue him for the damage to her property I know for sure and I am pretty sure something can be done about the harming of her pets, not to mention child endangerment if her children were home. I will keep your daughter and her children in my thoughts and prayers. Please let us know if she is okay and what she find out about this

I am so glad to hear it didn't happen to your daughter. It is horrible that it happend but at least it wasn't to your daughter and grandchildren. I hope that she chooses to stay with you until her house is ready. I found a link that might help you. It shows that Tennesee animal abuse is one of the states that consider it a felony to abuse animals. I hope this helps you. http://www.americanhumane.org/site/PageServer?pagename=ta_state_issues_cruelty_summary

It maybe to late to tell you this but the person that this happened to needs to take pictures of the damage done and of the pets that were harmed or killed. That way they have proof of damage. All the witnesses need to write done everything they remembered happening so that they have an accurate and detailed account of what happened fresh. That way later on they are not struggling to remember all the details.
