I'm close to my mother more than my father, this may be because I daughter and because my father always travels for work.

Well, as far as the one I could best relate to goes, that would have to be my father. I am told it is unusual for a female (plus my father was never the "wait until dad comes home" type that most fathers seem to be stereotyped as). He was an only child like me, so a lot of his experiences are more parallel to mine. I also think much of it has to do with the fact that I tend to think more like a man than I do a woman. He was also the more lenient of my two parents (hence what I said above about him not being the stereotype) - which was better for me because I was a rebellious, yet emotionally sensitive child.
There are certain things I would rather go to my mother for, however, such as issues that are predominantly "female," or anything that I would not feel comfortable if my father knew about.
However, I have always been a more introverted type and never really shared any deep thoughts with either of them. I don't think I have ever been particularly close to anyone in that regard.

They are both very special to me. I am close to my dad and I can easily tell him things that bothers me and he would really respect me whatever decision I would make. It feels good that he trust my actions and my judgment. But of course, he also tells me the pros and cons of the things that I am about to do. My mom is supportive in another way, she's caring and never fails to tell us that she'd be there for us no matter what.

im closer to my mom than to my dad.. it's not that im not close to my dad, it's just that i always cling to my mother because my father is always away.. my dad works away from the country, which means im left with my mother and two younger siblings.. me and my mom does things together, especially during shopping! that's the best part for it..
