caste system  

"If you thinour caste system is rigid ..give me suggestion" wht suggestion u want and on what ..I didn't get.
Anyway I don't y? this topic don't have any comment.It is such a cruelsome and confronting subject of developing nation.One of the reason that developin country is nt developed is Caste.This is a mother of many problems.

The caste system in India is as old as the civilization. At the dawn of the social structure, this sysem was introduced for division of work among people. This was structure around Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishayas and Sudras as per the vedic classifications. But in this present context of our society, where work is free for option, that system though exists but has lost its purposes and gone through many violations.
I think the present unstability in society is for this violation only and social scientists must work out methods and means to stabilize this! In no sphere, untouchability or caste feelings should be promoted in the society to invite more critical issues! Thanks for this nice topic!

I have never been a fan of this caste system and I do not give it much respect or thought to be honest. I believe all humans are created equally and we should respect each other as individuals rather than be bothered by old fashioned caste system restraints. I have known many couple go through extreme trauma from their families because one of them was a Brahmin and the other wasn't - it makes no real difference at the end of the day and I've seen marriages between different castes work and fail as I've seen marriages within the same caste work and fail. I am a Bengali Hindu and married to a Telegu Hindu - we are happy with each other and no one to date has had the nerve to judge our commitment to each other :)
