I have watched Little house on the prairie, and the Waltons.Of course the older movies, and such. One of the themes these shows have in common is Religion .They all go to church, and they all say a prayer at the dinner table.I know these are only programs and perhaps things weren't qite this good back then. However this is some of my thoughts,Maybe the world started changing when the majority of people started straying from the church and God.Children were raised so differently back then, they respected their parents and teachers. They felt it was a sin to lie cheat and steal.Neighbors helped one another, people cared about their community.
I am thinking that when the children began being raised in homes where church and God were not a major priority it began a generation of people that didn't have the same values as back then.As generations went on it only got worse, and now look at the world we live in.
I myself would prefer to go back to horse and buggy days, and one room school houses and such.I know this is not possible because the population is so much greater now too,but it would be nice.

well firstly, there wasnt as many things that would tempt a person to skip church as there are now and back then that was the thing to do (go to church on sunday) now days, it takes greater committment!
i agree with you, i would love to go back to simpler times...
