Why are there lots of call center companies in the Philippines?

Is it because of cheap labor? What do you think?

i guess its because its the only country in Asia that speak english correctly and fluently besides from having the virtue of patience...and of course secondly was the cheap labor rate...

It must be because it sure isn't for the convenience of the customers. It is almost impossible for American customers to get satifactory answers and information from people who live in other countries and speak English as a second language. We don't want to be rude but we just aren't getting the help we need.

I don't know maybe there's a lot of investor here doing their business. Filipino are really good in speaking English, very flexible in terms of graveyard job. A lot of of Filipino are fund of call center job because the compensation here is great, good benefits and you can easily be a regular employee. A plus here, if you were a college graduate you can be easily promotes. I don't know if this true, I heard this from a friend who are now working in call center.
