WOW! I must have p!ssed someone off!! My star points dropped!!

I've been a 10 for a while now (believe me, for me to be a 10 at any point in my life is a miracle in and of itself), but since our earnings were updated today, I've dropped to a 9. Hmmmmmm. I wonder who I ticked off! LOL I've challenged people on Barack Obama regularly as well as on homosexuality (I'm against neither one) and will rail against bigotry as often as possible. But, until today, it hasn't affected my star. I had grown quite fond of that blue star. Now it's back to raging red and it will take getting used to again. 
I'm not upset - was just surprised more than anything. I liked that people thought highly enough of me to keep it at 10, but am not overly worried about someone who doesn't. But, thank you all who have rated me with a "+" until now. It was nice of you. 
So, now I'm off to make more waves! I rather like a rocking boat, don't you?

If you're counting me among the "gallant and the brave", I thank you, but you don't know me very well, do you!!! I'm no brave-heart - more like a chicken-heart!! LOL But, face to face is one thing - I am a bit more direct online. But, thank you very much for the kind and encouraging words. I know I've presented quite the argument when someone feels the need to negate me!

It's too bad if people give you a minus because you are getting the discussion along. Some people have such strong beliefs; they won't take no for granted. I feel if you can't discuss it you shouldn't post is because you know people with other beliefs will react. Sorry for your star loss!

Thanks - I thought it was funny, mostly. It was nice that people thought good things about me, but I didn't think I'd said or done anything overly controversial, even when I disagreed with someone. But, obviously, someone took something to heart and reacted accordingly. That's why I was WOW - I hit a nerve somewhere. But, it's OK. I don't want to be hated, but neither am I trying to be voted "most popular", because people are free to think what they want. I still wanted to thank those who had rated me kindly because I do appreciate it.

Ah, but it didn't last!!
But, that's OK. I've survived far worse than a reduced star rating!! I keep thinking Reba McIntire's "I'm a Survivor"! 
But, I keep plugging along, voicing my thoughts, trying to stay polite (not always successfully with some), and not just giving short shrift in my responses. Just received my second payout and I think I'd like to continue that.
But, that's OK. I've survived far worse than a reduced star rating!! I keep thinking Reba McIntire's "I'm a Survivor"!

That's a shame. Hopefully you will get it back up to a 10 really soon.
I try not to be challenging here because I have seen backlash with friends and situations they have gotten themselves into. Unfortunately, not everyone will be mature when it comes to the rating system.

Hey, Kim. It's back, but I more thought it was funny than anything. I mean, I don't want to be hated, but neither am I trying to be the most popular, so I was surprised that someone thought they needed to rate me neg. It really IS nice when someone rates you well and keeps you there, but it's not the most important thing.

Hi. Thanks for the pep talk! I'm not too worried about it, but I had become used to seeing that blue star up there. So, I figure I must have irritated someone. Oh well. That's how discussions work. You don't always agree with someone - it works both ways. But, we should respect their right to have a different opinion. If they don't, then I'm probably not going to be quite as understanding in return.

Yes, that has happened to me too. It made me feel very bad.. But I have gotten over it.. What makes me happpy, is just knowing that myLot will still pay me for what work and effort that I have done so far. This is what all matters to me..

I agree - I didn't think I'd said or done anything overly controversial, although I did disagree with one woman on whether something being asked was racist. It was shortly after that that my star went down. I assumed I had angered her because I didn't see it her way. But, that's OK. It was a surprise, but I hadn't been rude or anything - I just pointed out that we hear racist things all the time, most being urban legend or myths that are perpetuated, but sometimes someone doesn't know if they're true or not and they would like to know if what they've always heard really is true. I don't agree that it's racist to want to know if it's more than just a myth. I can't see any other way to know than to ask. And, that's what I told her. But, my guess is she didn't like that. I survived and will always survive. I'm just glad to be here.
