However, as is always the case, the movie was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too different from the book...would have been good if they had stick a bit to the book storyline, but oh well, enjoyed both all the same.

I wound up reading it because... well I had been chatting with someone online and I'd they brought up how it was a great book and I should read it yada yada yada. I originally had no intent to actually do it but then I went to the drug store and there it was for 11 bucks. SO I bought it, read it and loved it.
Kind of hated the movie though. I remember being so happy when I heard they were making one... then it kind of sucked... as opposed to the book. Good movie though.

I was very excited when the movie came back but was very disappointed by the changes made to the original story by Steven Spielberg.The ending is completely different and too good to be true.It's an American movie so it was predictable that it would end well. A European director would definately have wanted the movie to be a lot more faithful to the original book. | |
