Driving or Walking  | | When you go on trips to the mountains do you drive to all of the peaks or viewing points or do you walk/hike? We tend to do some of both, but we love hiking any time. It's nice to hike in the mountains during the summer because it is cooler then. And, hiking instead of driving helps get in some exercise!

| | | | | | | | 1. juhi06 (551) | 3 months ago | hi sunnflr. i love to walk for smaller distances only. we move in a larger group and when it comes to walking we form smaller groups and keep on discussing things of mutual interest. and when it is serious obvious focus is on enjoying the scenes, photography etc.

sunnflr (577) | 3 months ago | I can see how walking with larger groups would be more difficult. People walk at different speeds. I love photography also so I'm always stopping my husband on our hikes to take a picture of this or that. He just assumes that's a part of the hike now!

sunnflr (577) | 3 months ago | WOW you do long walks! I couldn't manage 6 to 8 hours straight with my health problems, but I have walked an hour or two at a time before. Now days I usually have to make rest stops. I'm just glad I can still get out and enjoy nature, no matter how slowly. It is great exercise, and so much more fun than walking on a treadmill!
