Yankees split with the Mets 6-27-08

The Mets killed the Yankees in the first game 15-5. Carlos Delgado set a Met record with nine RBI's. He had two homers, one was a grand slam. Dan Giese struggled with control and the bullpen came in and got rocked for the Yankees. A Rod did go 3 for 4 with a homerun.

The Yankees returned the favor in the second game winning 9 to 0. Sidney Ponson(yeah that guy)got called up and Matsui went on the DL. Ponson pitched 6 scoreless innings. Bobby Abreu went 4 for 4 and Robison Cano hit a homer for the Yanks.

This sets up a great matchup tomorrow. Pettite vs Santana.
