What tool do you use for star gazing? | | I love star gazing. I bought a piece of astronomical binoculars. I use it for star gazing. Through this, I am able to see the craters of the moon.
I would love to see the planet Jupiter, Saturn as well as their moons, too. I wish I have a high-end telescope in my home.
What about you?

If i would buy something like that, people would think I'm crazy. Yes, things like that are weird to my housemates, and since i have past histories of acting strange because of my past depression, i am afraid that my mom would worry that I am crazy.
If you don't mind, how much such an astronomical binoculars as yours would cost me?

It cost me $100 dollars.

I love stargazing and in Australia we are so fortunate to get a fantastic view because of the lack of light pollution. My only tool is a torch with red perspects in case I want to look at any references while gazing. I've heard about the binoculars. Let me know what they are like when you do get to look at Jupiter and Saturn using them. I have a feeling it's more beneficial to view using the naked eye anyway.

The only drawback is keeping them steady but You could get a tripod or even just a tripod bracket and then make Yourself a clamp to fix them to a post or a fence. I've bought a 400mm lens off ebay, 35 mm camera equipement is so cheap these days and I use it with an old 15mm eyepiece from some broken binoculars, that gives me a really bright image at 26x magnification.

Looking up there gives me a feeling of warmth and inner peace. Splendid indeed that up there, I can see calmness. I'm pretty sure that my kids would love it too. On nights where there are loads of stars, I can't help but admire God's works. I bought a telescope for the my daughters but not much can't be seen. Indeed, seeing other planets would also be very enjoyable and splendid! Where did you buy your astronomical binoculars? Over the inernet? At ebay?
