Would you believe your kid or your husband/wife?

If for some reason your kid walks up to you and says your partner did something bad to him or here, no matter what it is, and you would feel it's nothing like your partner to do something like this... * hold right there and think how you would respond!* Would you believe your kid no matter what and go talk to your partner about this behaviour? Would you blindly trust your partner or would you blindly trust your kid. Would you have second thoughts or feel bad for choosing sides? Would you sit them all down and talk? I'm curious to see some answers as every family deals differently with these type of situations and there's no set rule that one way works the best, so lets see what I can learn from you guys! :)
