Since he hardly ever is home it's wonderful to have him here. He is sleeping now after drivingf 32 hours to get home.
He needs his rest, poor baby. I made him some spagehtti. He loves it and ham those are two of his favorites.
He usually get home every 6 weeks or so. Sometimes he don't get to come home. But this time he just had to do a shutdown and is going to another State to work. He was told earlier that he would be going to El PAso Tx. But it seems this may change.
I don't know where he will go next. They have a tendacy to send him to hot places in the summer and really cold 34 below zero in the winter. We wish it was the other way around but you have to do what they say and go where they need you.
Anyway, I won't be spending as much time here since he is home. I will miss you all, but I want to spend time with my honey, lol.

We will miss you to but I completely understand you wanting to spend your time with hubby instead of us lol. Enjoy your time that you all have together. What does your hubby do that requires him to be gone 6 weeks at a time and in hot and such cold temps? It must be really hard to spend so much time away from each other. Well enjoy your time and we will see ya again soon.

Hi travi, I appreciate your post. I am able to come in now because my hubby took the grandchildren hiking, hunting for sassafras and rocks.
I'll make tea from the sassafras, it's great.
And they love hunting for rocks and gem stone type things.

Thanks travi, It is nice to do things with the grandchildren and having them enjoy the things that we like is a huge plus.
You need someone to get you some sassafras roots so you can have some of the delicious tea again.

Thank you teka, I do always make his favorite foods and then some. I love to cook when I have a person that will eat. And he is a healthy eater. It does help that he has take out all the time he is gone or sandwiches. This means he will always like what I make, lol.
I hate it but he will be leaving in the morning. He has been here the longest time in years at one time. He got here Saturday a week ago. Since he is going to New Jersey on a new assignment he has to be there Wednesday for work which means he leaves in the morning. Two days to drive over there. He is suppose to e the 2 1/2 months.
Take care and happy mylotting my friend.

He retired from the Navy and has continued in what he did there. He is a NDT and another type of inspestor with Quality Assurance. He inspects the welds on Ships, boilers, and pipes.
He changes to another company a year ago and now works mostly on pipe line and the company building doing the pipe line work.
Thank you so much for your post. I spend all the time I can with him. Right now he is gone hiking with the grandchildren. This is why I came here.

It's not so bad now that he works for the new company he gets to come home at lest every 6 to 12 weeks. Before when he was with the other company he wrok overseas and most that was it. He was gone for many months at one time. Usually over a year everytime and then just had a week home when he came in.
So having him in the States and home more now is a blessing.
