or do you just continue to love them the same way as "love is unconditional"

'No' - this is easier said than done; however to persist in loving someone who doesn't feel the way I do, is more painful in the long run. It takes a very determined heart to break off though.

No, I wouldn't. I'd find a way to leave him alone and move on. I know I'll only suffer especially if I see him with another girl if I give in to my feelings.

Wow, I've been in this situation a lot. I've liked a lot of guys in the past who didn't feel the same way (but they were never mean about it!) But right now I really like someone, who, I think, really likes me :D So I'm just going to have to see where it ends up!

well, people do get tired. So if the situation is always like that...like, the person you are so in love with does not love you back...then there might come a time where you get tired of not being loved back, and in turn you'll stop loving that person.

Well, DUH. I don't fall in love with people because they love me back. I know that is possible, but it doesn't work with me that way. I was in love with my friend for 4 years before we kinda drifted away and lost contact. And I still have a soft spot for all the boys I loved in the past... I suppose love isnt something that you take from one person to give another. You just make more of it :P

I've been in this situation before... but managed all right. The person I cared about so much never knew, and never will know (I am still very close with the person I believe I was in love with).
