putting my degree on hold for now

I was told yesterday by the online college that I attend that my financial aid was exhausted. I would have to come up with $5000 out of pocket costs. This was figured out by the school when the term was almost over-only two more weeks left. I decided to withdraw and wait until next fall to finish up at our college here in my town. I was only 10 classes away from obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Management. Has this ever happened to anyone else? So for now, I will be writing more on here, concentrating on my job and just taking it easy until I can enroll at a normal college. What got me mad the most was that they could not have told me earlier when this term started instead of waiting. Thanks for letting me vent!
