Thought of the day NO AMERICAN LEFT BEHIND!

United States

Let me start with, this post is not to insult anyone. It is a concern that I have as an american and our economy and safety. I honestly believe in the saying what goes around comes around, I never supported the war with the middle east and I believe if we just left things alone with Iraq that everything would have worked out. Have you noticed how many "BAD" things have happened since the US retaliated for 9/11, both by mother nature and neglect? Is it a coicidence or it it fate? All of a sudden we are finding toys that can harm our children. The cancer rate has risen, food poisoning left and right. Do you think the US is in a comfort zone because "terrorist aren't blowing up buildings?" could it be that they are just purposely doing things to get into our heads. Most of us suffering, we are on the verge of a great depression, did we give too much of our independence away? Do we entrust our safety into the hands of other countries. We are suppose to be a powerhouse but yet we do not even produce things that would let us survive. We throw American businesses out of business to save a buck and now we have nothing or close to nothing being produced here. Where does your clothing come from and your food? The greed of Americans for the mighty dollar is going to be what pulls this country down. Bring back the farm stands and the butchers, the speciality clothing stores downtown. We as a country of millions have the capability of being self contained if need be. I am not saying stop buying from other countries I am saying support home first. Stop taxing the big businesses so much and making them move abroad. Bring the business back home and watch the unemployment and welfare disappear. The thought in our minds should be no American left behind! Build America to be strong as a whole and not just as a Military power. Just think about it would it be better for a person to be well rounded in life or so lopsided that all he wanted to do was fight? We need to equalize our circumstances as a country and stop RELYING on others. What do you think?

I agree with you somewhat. We do need to be more self efficiant and not depend on other countries. Your right there. I don't agree that we should have just left Iraq alone. They came into our country, killed thousands of our ppl and then ran like dogs. Had we done nothing, they would have been back 2 weeks later doing it again...and again...and again. Part of being a country is defending it...it's never good to go to war but sometimes it is necessary. ~~IN SEARCH OF PEACE WITHIN~~ **AGAINST THE STORMS, I WILL STAND STRONG**

Please forgive me but for some strange reason I was under the assumption that we had entered and began a war with Iraq do to them having Weapons of Mass diestruction. Did I miss something? At least this is what all the resports had said if I am not mistaken.

Actually as far as I know, we started off over there in pursuit of Bin Laden...he hid out in the same area with Hussein and one or both of them made statements concerning weapons of mass destruction. After all this time Bin Laden is still over there and running free and we are dealing with a dominoe affect started from the bombings. At least that's how I understand it. If I'm wrong, someone can post some reliable links to explain it better. ~~IN SEARCH OF PEACE WITHIN~~ **AGAINST THE STORMS, I WILL STAND STRONG**

I think you are absolutely 100% correct. If America would stop focusing on the rest of the world, and focus back on America and improving and keeping this country great like we have always done, there is no limit to the opportunity. When we focus our time, energy, and resources elsewhere...who is it that truly suffers? 8 years of neglect. America needs some help. Educated voters, helps..
