Should a Christian sue a non-christian? | | I posted on the discussion on neighbors about the incident when a non-christian neighbor verbally abused my 5 year old daughter. Unfortunately, my child tested positive for post traumatic stress disorder and was prescribed medications to help her cope. I am a Christian, you can only imagine how that double whammy brought tears to my eyes. I decided I need to do something to prevent this person from repeating the same to my child and other children in the neighborhood so I have decided to sue her in court. I was surprised to know that the commission on human rights took up my case as the evidence was really heavy against the neighbor. I don't feel vengeful, as a matter of fact, my whole family can still pray for the salvation of the offender, but I am decided to sue her in court and make her pay for her crime. Do you agree with me?

Instead of taking this person to court because they are not a christian, You should have been trying to get them some help.By suing this person is going to add more fire to the situtation. That none christian just might have post tramatic stress to and don't even realized it.Think about.

| lotsalove (51) | 2 months ago | That neighbor is 50 years old. 50! my daughter who is now suffering from post traumatic stress disorder because of her is 5.Are you kidding me? I am getting help for my daughter, if you are not informed at all, this is a case of Child Abuse which is a criminal offense in our country and the penalty is very heavy: 6 years in prison at the very least. How can you point your finger at me and judge me? My daughter is the victim here!

If it were an isolated incidence then I would say no. But obviously you have a lot of proof. Best to you and your family.

| lotsalove (51) | 2 months ago | Thank you so much! Yes, this person has a big collection of enemies because of her tendency to make mountains out of molehills. She has in fact poked a gun at a 15 year old girl before on account of fallen leaves that came from the next door neighbor that entered her premises. She is harrassment personified and the children in our neighborhood are not safe because of her volatile temper. But this time she has gone too far. So I believe the justice system should put her where she belongs. If we as Christians are aware of what she is capable of doing and let her be; isn't that condoning her actions and allowing further damage to other children in the future?

| lotsalove (51) | 2 months ago | Keeping other children from becoming her future victims is one. I've detailed in the neighbors topic that she had a t one time poked a gun at a 15 year old and sideswiped an 8 year old boy on purpose. She is in fact a danger to the children in the community. The lawyers, police and other people I've consulted collectively questioned me on the sanity of the person and said that If proven to be suffering from mental derangement, the woman may not be read a verdict but will be committed to a mental institution to keep our neighborhood safe.

If another Christian had verbally abused your child to the point where she had post traumatic stress disorder and needed medication, wouldn't you want to do whatever you could to prevent that person from doing it again to your child or to someone else's child? It doesn't matter the age, race, ethnicity, gender, or religion of the offender- what they did was criminally wrong and you need to do whatever you can to prevent them from doing it again.
