Do you still response.Me i have doubts if the owner of that discussion is still reading the response or else they are still notified that there are still responsing on their discussion even that old. Me, it depends on discussion but I have still doubts if they still reading it or care to choose a best response if the discussion is not that through.

ahaha!
yeah, same here. sometimes it depends if i know the user is still active or if there were also users that respond days before me,i would gladly respond to those discussion.like here, you have just started this discussion two years ago,and i haven't been a member that long, but since i know you are still active and you have become one of my responders on my previous discussions,i know you'll have time to comment back on this one...
there were also discussions which are worth responding to even though really how many years have passed.but i would know if the starter is still active before i respond or if not,if i really want the topic,i'll gladly respond on it.for all we know, all of us have certain point of views here that we want to share, right?
so better respond to interesting topics with or without waiting for comments.

so better respond to interesting topics with or without waiting for comments - Are you still hurt of what your friend did to you?
I do read some of the response no matter my discussion is like three years ago. Like i am going back to the past. Thanks for dropping by on my old discussion.

no,i understand what she just did,and we've talked about it,she's just always busy in her work that's why i don't blame her for doing so. at least we're still friends.
that's all that matters.
regarding discussions, yeah,it's okay now for me not to wait for those users that has no time for commenting back. but it just came to me that it is called discussion because we are discussing things, not to let them unattended right?
i say,it won't be called discussion if no one is talking to one another.
when you ask questions in real life, you also need answers right?
so why bother start discussion when you think you won't be able to answer your responses?, hey i think we are getting far off the topic,my friend!
no matter how old your discussion is,if it's worth responding or commenting,it would be nice if you get back to them. for it will be a lively discussion even if it was really long time ago. well,i think you are one of the seniors here in this site, nice to meet you.but seems like you don't want to answer my private messages i sent you way back,i just get confused why...

Okay, let's see..
I still do respond to discussions, even if they are pretty old. Most of the time, I get to read interesting discussions that are really old but, they are still interesting none the less.
There are discussions that can be discussed about for a long time and even be talked about after a few years. Can you call that timeless?
Anyway, it would probably have the same reponses or it would yeild entirely something different with the difference in the times that comments got posted.
I'm not really worried about my comments not being read or commented back at. Notifications aren't always there to be sent to your email and if it gets replied to, that would be nice but, if it doesn't just move on.

I am not bothered too whenever my friends did not respond to my discussion, there will come a time the right person who have the same interest that will respond. Yes we can call it timeless.
See you responded to my discussion now, it really proves what I have been said.

I guess we can indeed call such discussions as timeless..
Yeah, we don't have to be hasty about our posts getting replies or comments. We just have to let things go normally as they would do.

Hellogreychunny. I still respond to old discussions if I find it a good one that interests me like this one of yours. In fact, I have responded to a lot of old discussions, but you are right that some users are no longer active. But it is ok for me as I am sure that he or she can read it if their email address is still in use.

Hi grecy, I do sometimes.I keep looking at discussions and if something is interesting I dont bother if it is old or new, just go ahead and post a response. One is notified if he/she is still a member or else...I have had some members responding to one of my earliest discussions which was 2 years old which felt really nice..

What do you mean if the question has been answered? is that when the starter of discussion already choosen a best responser?

Yes I do as I am now responding to this dscussion although it is months since you started it. lol
There are a number of reasons who this happens with me. Sometimes due to other committments I do not come to mylot for months at a time and when I do, the first place I go is to my friends' discussions and choose some of them to reply to. I would like to think the appreciate my respopnse, even if months afger the event and in fact I am sure the responses are appreciated. Maybe I have seen the discusion before but due to time constraints am not able to do the topic justice by responding when I first see it.
For me, responding to a discussion is not about a 'best response' although that is nice to get. It is more to interact with others and exchange opinions about a specific topic which is of interest.

Yeah grecychunny, I will response to all the discussions which I’m interested no matter how long the discussions are. I did response to several discussions which were already two years old
.
I would always check the page of discussions which I have started once I login mylot site. I could easily find out if my old discussion receiving any new response for it would come to the top of the page. I always try my best to give comment to every response of my discussions and despite of how old the discussion is. I could see my username on every discussion that I have added comment to it.
posting and take care.

Yes, I do. Like this one.
If the user is still active at least in the last couple of weeks then I still do. But if they are on a holiday from mylot then I don't bother. I'd like an interactive discussion, you see? So it doesn't matter if it's already walking or starting to talk or already having a baby brother or sister.LOL!

It depends. If there is a large number of responses sometimes I skim through each page to make sure I didn't already respond to it, other times I just don't want to bother with all the pages within the discussion so I pass it up. It also depends on how interested I am in responding to the discussion. As for whether or not the person that started the discussion is still active on here does not matter to me. All that matters to me is that the discussion caught my interest.

I still try to respond to some of the older discussions as I feel that it is good to keep them going. Some of the new users might never have a chance to respond to something that has been here for awhile if we don't keep the discussions circulating. I am sure that some of the older discussions on here are not being read and discussed anymore. I have answered questions that were started a year or more ago. Sometimes, I feel that I have hit a wall with the newer ones here and I will look for older discussions to respond too.

yes i do. as long as i have something in my head for that specific old discussion, it's no problem with responding. may it be read by the one who posted it or not. it doesn't really matter to me if the user already picked a best response. as long as it counts as a point..

hi grecy!
it depends on the kind of discussion. i have a lot of notifications in my email, the oldest are two months old and i still respond to some of them. i don't respond to old discussions that should have been responded to during the day it has been created like "what did you had for lunch today?", "what will you be having for dinner today?", "i reached my 5000th post today..". something like that. discussions that need immediate attention. i respond to old discussions if they are of general questions and without time consideration just like this discussion of yours. it can be responded to even after a few months.
i don't really think whether the person who posted the old discussion will still view my response or not but i do think about the possibility that the thread host might not like it if i respond to his or her old discussions. i would just think of the possibility that, after i have respond to that discussion, some other people would find the discussion and respond to it too. and that helps in the earnings right? both to the poster and to the responder.

Actually, i don't usually look at how long the discussion has been. Actually, I can't notice that part of the page immediately. I just browse around the topics and if something gets my attention, I just respond and speak my mind.
