Where will Philippines be years from now?

The daily news shows no sign of improvement or development in our country's economy, it has been like this for years now. The media could have been exaggerating it, as usual, but I can say, through my personal experiences, that it really has gone from bad to worst. I don't want to sound pestimistic or anti-patriotic but I would be lying if I didn't say this things. Corruption is obvious and everywhere, crime rate is rising, poverty spreading...is Philippines rotting? I couldn't even imagine life here 10 years from now-the gas price and rice shortage,OMG!. A lot of people are migrating especially those who can afford to and those who can't, aspire to.I would wonder if our nation's heroes and patriots really died for just this kind of life,perhaps if they knew it was coming to this they would have not done what they did. Where will I be years from now? More importantly, how will my beloved country be years from now? I'm calling all of you Pilipinos out there speak your mind on this issue.
