What will you do? Will you protect your son/daughter, denying all accusations and help him/her clean his/her reputation? Or will you be with the law and help convict your own son/daughter?I just finished a book, titled "Before and After" written by Rosellen Brown. It's a heartbreaking story really. When parents have to choose between what is right and wrong, between their son's life or death. It's a story about a son guilty of killing his own girlfriend, changing the lives of all his family members forever and of all others in their small community. After reading the book, I just realized how hard it is to become a parent. Such a responsibility, teaching your kids the right values, looking after them while managing to work just to give them everything they want. And then, they'll grow and become someone you don't know. Gosh! The story broke my heart, I understand the father's motives why he hid all evidence, he just loves his son so much, he doesn't want him convicted. I also understand the Mom, she's just so morally upright and the guilt is eating her, she have to turn her son over. Oh shucks! I wouldn't want to be in their position! What about you? What do you think you'll do if ever you're in their position?

I believe that every parents will be sad when they have to face that kind of scene. That kind of result could be partly attributed to the failing of their education. But they should not give up their children, they must believe their children by contrary. We can understand these parents' feeling, they should help the children to realise their own crime and encourage them to truly transform. These actions can indeed help these children to get the re-recognition of the society. These are just what the parents should do.

If a relative of mine committed a crime, I would treat them just like anyone else who committed a crime. If I had to turn hem in, I would No special treatment because of love or relationship. People are people, and when they o something illegal they need to pay or it.

Oh, but wouldn't it break your heart to turn over a son who came from your own body? I know it's just the right thing to do anyway and you're right of course...
