PS2 full of RPG and action games like Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Fatal Frame, Suikoden, Persona, Kingdom Hearts. I can say the top notch of many RPG games comes to PS2.
If you like action and FPS games like MGS, Call of duty, GTA, Resident Evil, you should choose PS3 or XBox 360 because they are the latest console today and you can get new/latest games from them.
So, choose what type of games do you like? don't be influenced by other people because every person have different appetite.
