What according to you is the most popular music nowadays?

Actually the truth is that rap and country are in fact the most popular genres. And that's interesting because they may seem different on the outside, but it's not really. If you dive into the lyrics they are about the same issues in different ways. I'm not into overly popular music because the steam tends to run out of a great song if played so often.

I think that at least where I live, classic or alt rock would have to be the predominant music here. Hip hop, rap, etc. are also fairly popular, as is country. There are a few electronica lovers here, myself included, but it's not as apparent as other places. That pretty much covers the entire popular music spectrum nowadays, doesn't it?

Where me and fiance live I think one of the most popular music genres is country,since in my opinion it makes more sense,and and actually has some good messages in the songs,I am not sure what to think about the tektonik craze,but I think DJs are very important because they play a key role in playing music,and hearing new songs.
