E-gold refused to pay me.

Hi, I opened a forex account with a Company and paid with my e-gold account,nothing was said while i was doing this but later that i asked for a withdrawal, they said they don't deal with e-gold anymore,what should i do? This same Company paid my money into a wrong e-gold account and e-gold has refused to refund me,they sent a message to the person involved but till today,i have not received the money,almost $500. Actually, i made a mistake with account number while filing the form for withdrawal,i did not make a mistake with the account name e.g instead of A/C 12345 of MMCT,i wrote A/C 13245 of MMCT.(Notice that only the number was wrong and not the name) Miraculously, the money entered into the wrong account (with another person name). What should be done?

Sorry for you. Unfortunately I can't help you to get your money back. Only a person who got it can return it (I guess I would do it when I'd notice that I've got funds from a strange company, at least I would try). All I can do is to tell what you have to do to avoid such mistakes in the future... Never write your account number anywhere, use copy-paste!

you should be careful and double check your account number and see if you have entered it correctly.e-gold have strange rules,and since you can't get your money from the other account,the only solution is to get the egold account of the other person closed since your money is in there.egold do not allow chargebacks or refunds in case of fraud,or a mistake either.

hi alpha very sorry to learn that. there are problems even with local bankers and any thing which gets derailed is difficult to bring back on track. in this international transaction well the error was created at your end. but they should have been careful while handling the transaction. when did it happen ? may be regular follow up and repeated reminders nd requests may help!!

Hi, Thank you for your concern,acually,i think this was delibrately done because with the little experience that i have with e-gold,for anybody to pay or receive into another person's account you must have both the account name and account number correct,if for example in my case i had the name right but the number wrong,no money could be paid into the account by another person. For any money to be paid into another person's account both the name and the number must be correct,and even then ,i relised and corrected the mistake before 24 hrs.
