 drive in movies are very far and few here in australia and there is one about 45 minutes from my place.my children have never been to a drive-in,so i thought this would be a treat in the school holidays.in my youth we use to always go to the drive-in movies,but all the drive-ins are nearly all gone and i think there is only about 2 or 3 still left in our state.i actually miss the drive-in movies.do you still have drive-in movies where you live.what things do you miss that you enjoyed in your youth and are not available now.cheers sue

 suehan1 (1776) | 3 months ago | yes i am lucky i actually heard them advertise on our local radio today and i looked them up.you only pay for the car and that is $20.00 per car and you can have up to 8 people in the car.so they have 3 movies showing and it cost $40.00 to see all of them.thats a bargain when you pay $15.00 a person to go to the cinemas.it is near newcastle and the only other one i know exists is the other side of sydney.i really do miss the drive-ins as well.cheers sue | |

| 2. kingcrapper (964) | 3 months ago |  I haven't been to a drive in threate since I saw Star Wars the first time in 1977! What a gret time the kids will have there! I remember my mom having the speaker hooked onto the window and the smell of popcorn! Wow! This is something great! When the movie was all over and we left I was wondering why these few cars where left in the lot. Hmm. Live and learn. Great post! I hope they enjoy their trip and their holiday!

| 3. iamnes (198) | 3 months ago |  wow, i haven't tried drive in movies. i'm not sure whether there is something like that here in the philippines. i'd like to try it sometime. one of the things i missed in my youth where the chips being sold in a nearby store, they usually cost 1 peso only per pack. most of the chips are filled with cheese. yummy...

| suehan1 (1776) | 2 months ago | yes rose i havent been since i was a kid also.we actually went the other night and the kids loved it.we saw 3 movies for $40.00.i took 5 of us.we worked it out it would have cost us $200.00 to see these movies at the cinema.what a bargain all five of us saw kung fu panda.get smart and hancock for forty dollars.i will be taking them back there again.cheers sue | |
