Do you have a "GREEN THUMB"?????

I know I can grow weeds pretty fast but as far a green thumb is concerned, there is no way I can make a plant live even if I wanted it to! I am sure there are people out there who can grown tomatos in sand but that is not for me. On the other side of your post: cooking. Can't do that without the help of a microwave or the phone number to a local pizza place!

I do believe there are some people who are born with the kncak of it, or exposed to it when very young take it up much better than other people but with a few good tips and a little patience anyone can have a green thumb. Country bumpkin or city dweller...you just have to find the type of plants that suit you. If you are the busy type with not much time for commitment to plants and you have a yard get low maintenance plants and bushes. Like Irises and tiger lilies, and bulbs that you can toss in the ground and requires little to no maintenace....for in the house you can get hanging plants like Pothos and plants that don't require daily watering. I am trying to make my yard a low maintenance one because it is much bigger and I work countless hours and have a lot of responsibility at the house....so I cannot spend as much time in the yard as I did before. And anyone can start a veggie garden. And the number rule of a green thumber or a beginner green thumb is to use Miracle Gro. Follow the instructions on the box, and they now make a premixed Miracle Gro Liquid. I learned all this from my mother who is from the big city Chicago and her mother had a full blown garden of flowers and veggies in her back yard in the city.
