Do we really need to have the battery replaced in an Apple store? I see that there are so many batteries on Ebay and there are in different brands. has anyone here tried buying one and does it really hold well?

I was told my someone that works with Ipods that you can send in your Ipod to Apple and they dont replace the battery that they replace the Ipod. I dont know if it is true or not. I don't see how you could change your battery with out help. I dont know. I understand cars better then Ipods. Just telling you what I have heard. Hope it helps

I know that batteries in Ipods can be replaced. And I think it's easy to be replaced but I am concerned if the battery that is selling on the market is good. They are so cheap so I want to buy the replacement battery and install it on my own. I fix phones before so it would be easy to replace an Ipods battery.

We have a store here. It is called Batteries Plus. For an I pod I would go there. They have almost every kind of battery there you can imagine.
