Overcoming financial hardship?

I just wonder how many of you were able to overcome financial hardship? It's just so hard this time even if both are working and earn, it is not enough for the expenses of the month. I am wondering if others have any idea of just little things to do in order to make an extra incomefor a living? I want a small business idea. If anybody has an idea of that simple small business that could make money, that would be very much appreciated. Waiting for your ideas.
