 We were given free will from God.He gave us this to we can decide if we want to let Jesus,love and caring in our hearts or satan.And live accordingly.There are people who took the wrong choice with the gift of free will and took satan in their lives.They have become terrorist's and crimonals.
Then there are the ones who take the other path that are people trying to help their countries and other people that need help.
This was their free will given to them by God.They choose whichever path they want to take and face the concequences here on earth and when they get to the "pearly gates",as they are called,and see if they are forgiven for their sins by God.
So,please support and pray for our troops.No one made them go to Iraq.They choose to by their own free will that God had given them and they know their earthly life consequences.

The members of the troops has to believe in Jesus Christ and acknowledge their sins for themselves. I disbelieve in this motion about people praying for another. Each person are carrying their sins for themselves. I am not cleaner than them. I am as sinful as them. The bible says we should acknowledge our sins. Our parents carry it until we are 12 years.
How can a sinful vessel pray for another sinful soul. Can you answer me. Last night I pray to God which I haven't done for a while and putting my boyfriend in it too but I am not praying for him no way. I am just acknowledging his present in my life and asking God to open his heart to acknowledge him.
No one can pray for another what we can do is putting that person in the presence of God and he will do the rest.

It is like every day you bring fish for someone isn't it better you teach the person how to fish. In doing this the person will be better equipment to fish for himself. If you keeping praying for someone how can that person be able to witness God for himself.
I believe in teaching the gospel to someone and let him/her have that same relationship that you have with God. This is the reason there are persons saying that there is no God because christians tends to love to say 'I am going to pray for you'. The bible say goes in the nook and carney and teach the Gospel. Jesus didn't sit down and pray.
Jesus Teach, that is what he did and Christian needs to stop this I will pray for you and teach others. If you keep and praying and that persons doesn't believe then that prayer is in vein. My friend you are a born again christian and it is best you read and teach others the ways of Christ. This is how the kingdom of God will be fill with souls.
I am a backslider and I don't want anyone to pray for me. What I want is someone to teach me the bible and the ways of Jesus Christ. He says I am in the Father and the Father is in me. I am the father is one. So it is best you teach the way of God to the others then praying. Everyone knows the Our father prayer in all the languages worldwide. Not everyone know the way to find the truth gospel of God and this is what need to be teach.

Just like other the other "Gift" God also gave us, we didn't understand and abused Him. I pray that we would really learn how to control and submit this gift to the one who gave it to us.

| 5. redkathy (687) | 3 months ago |  In my opinion, first and most important is realizing that prayers are our personal conversations with God. While free will gives us choices, we should speak with Him before we choose.
All of our troops are not believers but they have chosen a noble task. Something to benefit others, even if it means their own death. A choice that I think is God pleasing.
These men and women may never become believers therefore wouldn't be reaching the 'pearly gates' as you called them.... Jesus said the only way to the Father is through Him. My prayer is for their safety, thanks to God for their noble choices, and intervention from the Holy Spirit to lead them to Jesus so that they WILL get to those those pearly gates!
