cramps during non cycle days email this discussion to a friend?

I wonder if any of you can help me. I had a very bad month is time around my period and it seems like I'm still suffering the consequences. I finished my aweful period which consisted of bad leg pain and cramps where I couldn't even sit straight. I also had migraines and bone achyness. Seems like even 3 weeks after the fact, I'm still in pain??? I asked my doctor and she said of course there's months were woman's hormones are more active, but I feel as though am I the only one complaining? Am I the only one who is going through this? She said it happens and allot of woman who aren't on monthly hormonal therapy can go through this, but I wish i could discuss it with someone who is really going through the same pain and discomfort I am? Anyone?

I was experiencing sometihng similar (the couldn't sit still or stand still, or even lay still kinda cramps) today....well after 2 Tylenols did not touch it BTW, I took an ALeve....and then I decided to use some Aspercreme on my stomach....sounds strange but I was desperate....I never got cramps like this before and every year they are getting worse....I guess cause i never got them before at all.

Well, after I used the Aspercreme I noticed the cramps easing up and I looked on the back of the tube and it does say it helps cramps.....DUH never knew this. So I thought maybe if you didn't know it, I'd pass it on.

I love Aleve also, it helps me through all my Tylenol won't touch it moments.

What is your eating like 'before' your period? I had a few bad ones last year. I used to drink out of plastic bottles 24/7-the "same" one. I stopped doing that, and felt better. Also when I eat "junk" food, it all seems to "pay you back" around that time of the month. Junk food, spicy stuff keep away from that. Eat more fruit, soy milk(silk is really good) think of your four basic food groups. A double dose of Motrin/IB usually works well with me, also a heating pad against the pain. Hope that helps.
