Are you afraid of rats?

I thought of asking this question because I am really scared of rats, found them so yucky and dirty and just something i hate to see. The sight of it makes me cringe, like it's the worst thing in the world. Some people are afraid of cockroaches, but really i can take cockroaches, not really afraid of them. if i see them , i just ignore them without so much of a reaction, but if it’s a rat i see, i really scream and cringe like i have just seen a ghost. it drives my boyfriend nuts, saying it's nothing but a helpless rat and so i should not be too afraid of them. god, just writing about them, makes me want to puke
