Which is the best in Self Employed or Employee in an Organisation?

I think it all depends on what you want in life. I mean if you are one of those people who values freedom more than security, you should be self-employed but if security is far more important for you, then it is better for you to be an employee.

I mean, I think people should experience both, then you will appreciate what both sides have to offer. I mean, when I was an employee, it was great...at the end of every month, I knew I would have money in the bank. When I went out on a business trip, I knew that someone else would always pick up the tab. It was easy to take taxis everywhere because, well the company paid for it. However, the down side was I had to do just about everything that was thrust upon me by the company. At any time I would have to work on three or four projects.

Now that I am self-employed, my income is uncertain. If I don't work, I don't eat. I also have to be more frugal with things like basic transport and entertainment because, well it comes out of my pocket. I also try to avoid trying to get sick because nobody else will pay for it.

But having said that, I enjoy being self-employed because my mind has become more active. I have to constantly create business to stay alive and find ways to save money as well. I don't think I would make a very good employee again.
