A country is defined as a political divide of a geographical entity. Today we are citizens of our respective countries be it the USA, UK, India , China and so on. Go back into history say 300 years ago and these political divides were very different. Can you try and visualise what these divides may be, say in the next 2-3 generations ? What do you think may be most influencing charaterestics of these divides? Are they going to be technology, religion, wealth or something else..... ?

This is an interesting discussion. I can only assume though. I think, we will end up having more countries, may be smaller ones. The countries with segregate into smaller nations. Like India might have a different geographical map which I would never approve of. But that's almost obvious. Similarly many nations will declare themselves independent. We will have a lot more of national anthems and lot of dates to remember in history! That would be a heck of a job for the kids!! *laughs* Mostly technology will rule and so would wealth. Wealth factor is the only common thing all through the history of man kind. And wealth will bring power and strength to the nation - just as always!!

I was not expecting much of a response on this one , it was something which was floating around in my head and I decided to put it down. It also occurred to me, as to whether the concept of a nation to some extent would exist in the way that we know it, and if people would be brought together by thier idealogies. I'm glad it got you interested and thanks for responding.
