There is no gainsaying the irony that astrology (and religion)is much more popular than science . It is an irony , because , what comes out of astrology is anybody's doubt even of the blind believers of itself and yet it is very popular .On the other hand what everybody is getting out of science and technology is vividly clear from dawn to dusk and yet it is less popular than astrology .
Have you personally experienced any of the predictions made on your life by some astrologers or palmists or numerologists coming true in course of time ? On that basis what is your opinion on these predictions ?

Hello, akumei!I personally don't believe in astrology, numerology or palmistry.these are all hypothetical things.i have the experience of such predictions.an astrologer had predicted that i would be a politician.but i had no interest in politics.i joined as an officer in a government organisation and retired ten years back.another palmist predicted that i am destined to die at the age of 52 but i am yet living at the age of 70.so i have no faith on these fore-tellers.thanx.

I am also agree with you on the basis of my own experiences . No astrological predictions has come true in my life . My take on all these stuff is that it is a game of guess on the part of the astrologer . Once after 2 years or so of my joining the government service ( i considered it as a good job) that i am still doing, i approached a astrologer-palmist and without saying much to him I requested him to tell what was on store for me . His answer was ridiculous-" You are passing through one of your worst phase of your life . You will have to wait for the good turn to unfold to get an employment and regain health (at that moment I was exhausted after a long walk ).But that can be expedited by wearing certain stones ." I asked about the price of stones and told that since I was unemployed it would be not possible for me to purchase one .
Other predictions made by other renowned astrologer of my place also did not come true .
But one thing, you are telling that your age is 70 . But your mylot profile tells it to be 32 . Why?

There is astrology and there is horoscope predictions (I like to call those horror scopes). Astrology is getting a very bad name through the shallowness of tabloid astrology, that being the 'Yearly, or daily or weekly' predictions as outlined in the papers. You know the ones: 'Scorpios need to be careful at work today', or 'Geminis be careful not to get your boss offside with your outspoken opinions, you just may lose your job.' From this perspective, yes people are gullible if they buy into them. I don't know how many times I have cringed when someone starts a conversation "He must be a Libran so....." Or "Is it okay for a Taurus to marry an Aries?" Astrology is hugely complicated and cannot be narrowed to this type of tabloid idiocy. Unfortunately mainstream people don't understand what astrology entails. There is a major difference between Tropical and Sidereal astrology for example. Mainstream tabloid astrology uses Tropical. Yet it is 23 degrees indifferent to what is actually happening in the sky - yes astronomy is very much tied to astrology, but the readers don't know this. People are walking around thinking their Sun sign is Taurus, when in fact it is Aries (factually as indicated by the position of the Planet in the night sky when born). Tropical astrology therefore is bogus. To understand however, the influence of astrology, one must understand the energetic influence of planets. There is no getting around this if you are a serious astrologer. And if you dare say you have an interest in astrology, or are a professional at it, you have to understand basic astronomy. Predictive astrology has to do with the position of the planets in aspect to the natal chart's positions of planets, constellations and houses. And unknown to many, there is a tactile sensation that planets emit though you would not have this acknowledged or verified by a scientist unless you had 1000 people trained on how to be receptive to their influence.
This is a long rant, but to answer your question - the answer in most cases would be yes - I have seen the predictions occur but they are not as detailed or shallow as what is written in Woman's Day!
From my experience Scientists are trained not to believe anything that is not proven through physical means, mathematical deduction etc. They call astrology a Pseudo Science consequently. I would love a scientist to actually study the craft - by the way it is said that to become a good astrologer it takes 20 years such is the detailed information on it and the application of it's use. I do love the objectivity of scientists, but their closed attitudes can be difficult to take as well.
I'm obviously in the mood to write, thanks for the question!

I've never really had them come true, however, whenever I have tarot readings done, they seem to be eerily accurate. I have yet to have one be wrong, which is interesting, if you ask me.

I used to practice Tarot and Runes a lot when I was younger and when I was 15 I was really upset about having to move to another part of the country and leave my dad, so I asked the runes if I would be back and they said yes.
Your question has just reminded me of it actually, because since then I had forgotten about it. I lived down south from that age, met my husband and moved again to another part of the country so I never thought I would come home because he is in the Army. But now I'm back home, and although my husband is still based down south, I couldn't be happier and am glad to be back. (I know some people will say I was bound to go home but when you're married and you other half is in the forces there's not much chance of that!) :)

THis is a interesting question. I think more people are mostly trust the science and technology.Because it is the basis of our human being.Every famous invention or development depend on the science and technology.isn't it?
For me, i trust the sciencemnot the astrologer or palmist. It is a funny store on me. When i was a child, there is a palmist came to my village,to my parents' sueprise, they let the palmist check my hands and predict my future. After several minitues looking and toching,he said I will be a rich man when i am a young man.Of course, my parents are very happy with the words and gave him 50 RMB.Is it true? is my future decided by his prediction? I really can't understand it.Now, i am 22 tears old.If it is true words, would i become a rich man within 3 years? If so, i will thanks a lot..hehe,I really hope i can.But who knows it?
In mind,i really trust since a lot.because we need achieve our dream by our efforts, not by some one's prediction.
Good luck

Well, we studied shakespeare this year in school and I did a report on his use of astrology and destiny. Personally, I think it is all in your head because no1 can stop me from doing anything but me, not the stars... Even in Dhakespeare's time they used astrology a lot to predict stuff, and it works but I think its coincidence.
(Romeo could have not rushed things and/or acted rationally and he could be with Juliet happily ever after.)

This is a matter of personal belief and experience. On the astrology part, I have personally experienced something in my life to make me show interest in the subject. It was a little beyond the possibility of co-incidence. At the same time I am not saying that I am following it blindly and lead my life blindly on the basis of Astrology. Further, I believe that there is a super natural force/being/energy which connects us all, so there is a possibility of events being connected with time.
