have u ever work in a volunteer group?

I have a friend.She work in a volunteer group .in this summer ,she go to help the poor and backstreet children .She tell me about her work this summer and she like this work so much ,although she have to work hard and no money for her .I've never joined any volunteer group , I've just go with them when they work ,and help them in some cases .Have u ever work in a volunteer group???

Yes, I have done this. I always have something to do in my summer vacations. One of them is to do volunteer work. When I was in high school, my school organize a summer class/tutorial to help the students from public schools who live in the poor parts of the city. They go to our school and the volunteers would help them understand some of their difficuties. Sometimes, we make a twist like having fun during the teaching hours so that the students will enjoy learning. We know that both of us want to be out of the school to play, but since they need to study and we chose to teach, we make sure every day activities are fun and memeorable. Take care =)
