Such a SAD SAD day for our family...

I recieved a phone call from my mom yesterday that my cousins son had overdosed. Tonight is his wake. He was only 22 years old and it is such a waste of life. Our family is huge and we do not see eachother often usually only on big holidays. I called my cousin and shared with her that my son was also into heroin, I really wished I had known about her son. My son now lives in KY and has been clean for going on 2 years. My boys where devistated with the news of thier cousin. Our immediate family conquered this battle, it is not easy the family goes through hell and loses alot materialistically but those things are replacable his life was not. My son overdosed several times and thank God I found him every time. All my energy went into getting him clean. I even had him committed for 30 days. I laid on the floor and held him while he detoxed, I followed him around and if I caught him with a dealer I would intervein ( i know stupid) Once I had called the cops and met them in front of the dealers house. Yes he was arrested with possession and dealing. If what I do saves 1 life it is worth it. I then sent my son to KY to get him out of the environment and finally it worked. I had to perforn cpr on my son because of an overdose he was dead in my arms I beat the hell out of his chest. The ambulance came really quick and narced him and he came right back to life. Thank you Jesus. The best chance a kid has to get clean is to get out of the environment. My son tried many times to stay clean while living it home it took him moving 1200 miles away for it to work. I just wish this was something she would have shared instead of trying to keep it to herself maybe the love and weight of the family could have helped to keep him strong. Please if anyone else is experiencing this kind of grief reach out to every possible outlet you have. Tonight I have to go to a young mans wake, Please be part of saving thier lives. A prayer said for his parents as well as his 5 and 6 years old sisters would also be appreciated.
