How about we mix them both... Have the American doctors and the freeness of Canada's healthcare :P But if I had to choose I would go with Canada's, ours is a bit broken.

i lived in colorado for a period of time, the monthly cost of healthcare and the co-pay's can get expensive, if something happens the hospital bills climb pretty quick, some could spend the rest of their life paying it off. Being back in canada i definately enjoy having the free healthcare, the only problem is the delay when some things are needed, but i still think i would take that delay and have the free health care

Without a doubt - Canada! The healthcare system in the USA is all screwed up. People go broke trying to pay for healthcare.

Great topic! I can't speak for the rest of Canada...but the Health Care System in British Columbia is seriously in need of crutches! 43% of B.C.er's do NOT have a Family Physician, so their Health Care is seriously fragmented, as they must use Walk-in Clinics, where Drs. are on rotation! I have now been waiting for 11 months for a proceedure (a colon re-section) and it has been a long (& painful)wait. Waiting is O.K. (even for me), but I have friends who need very serious proceedures (life compromising) and they are waiting. If YOU have the money, you can go to the US and have your issues dealt with immediately. I really can't say that we have the better system...with our system Doctor's salaries are capped (per visit) and that is one of the reason's there is a serious shortage of M.D.'s and Specialists! Cheers!
