Are you a free player on runescape? are you fed up that free players don't get any "good" updates and we have to play the same thing over and over? talk about it here.

1. uath13 (3767) | 1 year ago | That's the thing. If they did keep updating the F2P there'd be no reason to become a member. No membership- no money coming in to Jagex & the game gets shut down. F2P is only meant to give you a taste of the game.

uath13 (3767) | 1 year ago | So Jagex is supposed to pay their employees & bills only once?
To do a one time fee & the company make money it would have to be incredibly high. Would you like to pay a $500 - $600 one time fee? Most of us couldn't come up with that much at one time.
Jagex is a business & has to be run as such. If you compare them to other online games they're one of ( if not THE ) cheapest, often at less than 1/3 the monthly cost of other games.

| 2. SaiyuPanda (9) | 1 year ago | Even so, Jagex could afford to give f2p players SOME nice updates>>"
I was a non-member for awhile and the "You must be a member to access this feature" got really annoying. So I can sympathize for f2p players who's parents won't buy them membership.

Afallingrock (246) | 1 year ago | Well a lot of people are here to get membership, I just might get membership also but i think i would rather invest my money than just spend it on this game. Don't get me wrong I loved playing this with my firends, but most don't play it anymore so i kinda don't see the point in playin it anymore. Some of my friends play flyff and some don't even play anything, I might follow suit since mmos are beging to bore me a bit. Maybe i'll come back when DarkFall comes out or anything that remotely resembles it but until then I'm probbaly gonna say goodbye to Online multiplayer games.

3. 060157 (761) | 1 year ago | well it's 'free' so go figure... it takes money to develop new stuff so of course they would upgrade the members world in order to attract more ppl to get a membership
btw, adding fist of guthix, clan wars and duel arena to the free world were some good updates to the free worlds. dont really expect anything as big as that anytime soon.

soccnut (473) | 1 year ago | Not really, in order to get more members, jagex has to get more freeplayers first and later some of these free players will go on to become members. If free players have such a lousy version of the game, then nobody would want to even tryout runescape, let alone becoming members, thats why jagez has got to update free players too.

| andrewe99 (62) | 1 year ago | Can people PLEASE stop posting all this "free membership" junk? It's not free, you're earning the money which then pays for the membership. And sorry to burst your bubble, but Bux.to don't pay to Paypal. They only pay to AlertPay, which if I recall correctly you cannot purchase membership with. Also, even if they did pay to Paypal, Runescape now require your Paypal account to be VERIFIED, meaning you have to hook up a credit card/bank account (which lots of young people don't have). So yeah, the days of "free" runescape membership are pretty much dead. Also, membership is $5... seriously guys. They can't keep adding F2P content or else they couldn't make money. If you don't have access to a credit card find a friend or something who can do it for you.

8. vakundekel (120) | 1 year ago | I think that there are enough updates on free to play worlds right now. New minigames like fist of guthix, new quests like Christmas and halloween quest, achievement diary for lumbridge and varrock, pvp worlds and bounty hunter, new runecrafting guild and corrupt dragon things. It is still better to become member.
