I am not sure if putting toothpaste on a pimple actually works I think that it is just one of those things that works for some but not for others. I have used Dove Body Soap and it works wonders. All you have to do is get a bar of any type of dove soap and put it on your face, let it cake upon it and then leave it there for an hour or so and wash it gently. It cleared a few acne bumps I had or it may have a reaction (or sign from god telling me not to date that boy) . Have a Wonderfully Lovely Day!

Wow, with all the crazy acne products out there you wouldn't think that dove soap would be the cure but if the toothpaste thing doesn't work out (and I don't think it will) I'd be willing to buy a bar and try that out. Thank you for your advice.

I was a bit skeptical at first but it really did help for me. I hope that it helps for you. I am not sure but I do believe that my skin is combination.

They say plain white toothpaste works- No other kinds- I have tried it a couple of times when I was younger. The toothpaste dries up the zit and makes it go away faster. Be sure you don't use too much as your face will be real dry.
They also say putting Visine on a pimple will take the redness out- So if you have a big red pimple and want to go out and don't want people to notice only that- Put Visine on it.

Applying toothpaste (not the gel types) overnight on a pimple usually dries it up. You need to do it for two nights in a row for it to completely. Turmeric also gives a the same result. But make sure to not squeeze the dry pimple out till it falls by itself. Doing so could cause scarring.

It works for me. I do it when I get really big pimples, not just small ones. I put it on then the next morning I put some regular pimple cream on and it usually gets rid of them

well it definitely falls under the myth category. toothpaste doesn't contain any ingredient that helps with pimples. in fact it might irritate the skin so much that it'll get worse. drinking lots of water will help. getting enough sleep will also help. sometimes it's just hormonal and there's nothing much you can do. however, haemorrhoids cream will definitely help if you've got a big night out. cheers ;D
