I was just watching Next Design Star on HGTV and had it on mute in the beginning and missed a thing about the ring on the one girls finger. They showed that last show the one guy and her - something about a diamond ring on her finger and it got stuck. This show they called the fire department out to cut it off. Why or how did the ring get there? Did the guy ask her to marry him or what was the deal. Anyone watch it?

She wasn't being proposed to. Her wedding ring had to be cut off after she injured her finger and it swelled up. Fellow contestant,Mickey V., the guy you saw with her, was just being a good friend to comfort her when she was in pain when the ring was being removed.

Oh, thanks for mentioning that. I saw it the next week, but they still didn't say how it happened. Looking forward to the finale next week! Hope the guy wins - I think he is much better than the girl - can't remember their names. He just has more zest and function than she does!

I really can't decide. Both Matt & Jennifer did such a good job on the New Orleans challenge. I did think that Jennifer relied on her drawings too much. I was really bummed when Mikey V., the bald cop, got sent home. I was really rooting for him and Trish during most of the season. I'm suprised that Tracee got as far as she did. She didn't work well with anyone, even when she was by herself. lol

I enjoy watching but just can't keep up with their names! I think I like Matt as he goes simple, yet fabulous, while others go fabulous, yet to much. IN the New Orleans houses - that in itself was fantastic that they did that for those people. And if I remember right I like her kitchen more than his, but his living room more than hers - that huge table she had just didn't do it for that room. But yeah, her drawings, although nice and good and all, just to me, tend to get kind of " okay, what else can you do?" feeling. I just think he has so much more "umpf" in front of the camera and just draws me to watch what he's done - she doesnt' have that.
