Would you get plastic surgery done but a doctor that needed it himself?

i am always watching plastic surgery shows and it amazes me how many of the doctors really could use some work too!! i would wonder if i chose the right person if i went in and person looked awful!! i mean i think that looks shouldnt matter BUT this is a doctor that looks matter so you would think they would try to set the standards to where people would trust them more.. would you get work done by some one in desperate need of it themselves? would it make you question how well they do compared if they are setting the standard to beauty as far as making it then you would think.. i mean obviously they cant work on themselves but still..
am i alone on this?? i have been seeing people going in for botox and the doctor looks a 100 with wrinkles (i do realize wrinkles are that big of a deal when on men but still) or a nose job and their doc's is crooked..

LOL I never thought about this, and I have even watched shows with plastic surgery before, but mostly like Dr 90210, and I can't remember that well, but I think those drs were fairly average looking.
Well, I think I would at least at first give them the benefit of the doubt and look at before/afters of patients they have performed surgeries on, that way I'd have an idea if they were good. And I'd ask them to show me what they had in mind for the outcome. Now, if it were facial plastic surgery, I admit, I'd probably run if they had a really wrecked face. LOL But if it was for lipo or something, that's probably when I'd look at their past work, because well, that wouldn't be as likely to deform a persons looks, as long as it was done even and not lumpy. LOL
But actually, I'm kinda glad you brought this up, I have always thought about plastic surgery in the future, so this is really something to come to terms with before deciding to get it. I am usually of the mind that looks don't matter for doing your job, but I can see what you mean, I think if I was a plastic surgeon I would probably do anything I could to fix major cosmetic flaws, like a crooked nose or something.

OMG! The dude has no license? That is just WRONG. I actually haven't watched it in quite a while, so I don't remember much about the doctors.
LOL yea.. looking human is important. haha
oh yea, I don't think I would ever let them touch my nose, I'd be afraid it would look weird. Now I'm fine with my nose, but I kinda have this paranoia about when I lose all the weight I want to/need to, I'm afraid my facial features will look disproportionate. But that might just be a bit of Body Dysmorphia, because I don't always see things as they are, like sometimes I can look in the mirror or take a picture and be somewhat ok with it, then other times I get so freaked out and avoid mirrors at all costs. It's weird, because I did go through a phase where I thought something was wrong with my nose, but my friend assured me that it was fine and that it would look weird if I got something done. I still have times I wonder, but pretty much that is the last thing I'd ever get done. LOL
I would get my eyes done (upper eyelids), and probably get lipo around the chin and maybe cheeks, and then the rest would probably be below the neck. LOL

i think going through phases like that is normal.. he was the spanish looking sexy guy that always flirted big time with his clients and his wife was a skinny blond and they had two kids.. not that that prob helped lol.. but he was one of the originals in the show

that one guy on 90210 from peru doesnt even have a license!! i just found that out the other day yet he still works which i dont get it but whatever. the show i just got done watching showed that ken guy (the ken and barbie couple that are like totally plastic looking because they have had so much done) and this doc was bragging about have done work on him and i would be running!! i want to look like a human not a blow up doll lol.. and then of course his doctor was horrible looking.. he looked like part of his face was fake do.. *shudder* i would just want my boobs done and if they had something for stretch marks since i have them from when medication blew me up 45 lbs in 6 months.. i would hate getting a nose job just because it can take a year for all the swelling to go down but oh well..

i hate to sound shallow but well you have to be focused on beauty if that is what your shooting for!! i think about 99% of the doctors i see on tv need some work done really bad!!
