Making a living with digital cameras these days is not a difficult thing to do,just get your computer and a very good printer and that all.
Even if you don't print out your photographs,programs like mylot pay you for posting good photo. . THere are some other ways ,although needs a little of technical approach but works very well.

yes you are right. there are even websites that will to buy your photos, or sites that act as the middleman who will accept and display your photos, than they will get your photos sold.

You can also make a lot of money by entering your photos in free online photo competitions! I've won hundreds of dollars with my photos by doing this!
Also, you can sell prints of your photos on sites like deviantART.com, RedBubble.com, Zazzle.com and Cafepress.com. It's free to join and all you have to do is upload your work! Then when someone buys your photo, the website prints, frames and mails off the photo and you just get paid! It's very easy!
You can also sell your photos as stock! This definitely makes me the most money! I've made thousands and thousands of dollars selling my photos as stock.
