are gnostic gospels true?

dont know if its true it was publish by 21st author i think its elaine pagels. the book has the opinion of the authors and some writtings based on the so called gnostic gospels found by a certain ali. it says there that those banned gospels were saved by the monks and hide those scripts in a jar which were found near cairo. it says in it that jesus christ was merely human it was the counsel of constantine that made him immortal, made mary a virgin mary and they also made the apostles creed.

One of the things voted on at the Nicean Conference was Jesus' divinity. My opinion is, if it had to be voted on, how true could it be. Personally, I don't need Jesus to be divine, he makes more sense to me as a regular human. More extraordinary, in fact.

I read the Nag Hammadi, which were found near Cairo in a jar, probably the same ones the book you read is based upon. Some of the text is missing, crumbled away but it still made a most interesting read. The Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel of Mary were very interesting and enlightening to me. They had a real feel to them. No built up stories.

I've studied many religions, and I find Jesus' teachings quite Buddhist in nature.
I don't subscibe to any religion and consider myself an atheist. I don't believe in divine beings, but I do believe in Jesus' teachings, Jesus the man that is. Strip away all the self-serving religious stuff, and get to the heart of what Jesus taught and it's a very good code for living.

we have the same opinion regarding jesus. i really dont care if his divine or not. what he have done was great enough. either it was done by merely human or not. im a born catholic, have no choice anyway. i respect catholism but they cant force me to believe about everyting they preach. what i profoundly believe is that their is a supreme being. and we will not be judge by what our religion but by the way we live our life here on earth. have a nice day.
