Think, he does everything for his family, even if he does screw up.
He doesnt shout too much .. (and i use that phrase too much carefully)
and hes a pretty decent character, stereotypical worker.

I really don't care for The Simpsons, but I guess it is true that he may be the most popular animated father. Fred Flintstone was a good father as well, remember?

Yeh .. or theres that Family guy, hes awesome:) Fred Flintstone was ... a more laid back kinda father.

I think that after all he's really one of best fathers:) Of coruse, he screw things up time after time, but he's doing everything what's possible to fix it. He really loves his family and the relationship between he and his wife.. Oh how much they love each other!
And I can fully understand when he's lying all day on couch - after school and other lessons I'm so tired that only cold drinks and bed is good for me (I don't have couch and don't like drink beer alone:P )
