You will not believe what happened to me a few days ago | | Last Friday i headed out to work and all of a sudden i heard something running up behind me. When i finally spotted what it was i realized that it was a little pit bull puppy. I was going to bring her home but she only had a collar on...no tags. I was surprised but there was nothing i could do about it and i needed to go to work This dog proceeded to follow me about a quarter of the way there and then started to run out into the street and ended up getting side swiped by a car, which proceeded on its way like nothing happened. at That point i put a end to my trek to work and went to the local gas station while the dog was distracted by the construction site we were near (the dog sat and watched, she didn't get in the way) and got the telephone book and called animal control. When the guy got there he recognized the and apparently they have had this dog before in their custody. Its not a mean dog in fact she very friendly. I just don't understand whats wrong with people. how can they let something like that happen to an animal? so Thoughts and comments about this problem are appreciated. Tell me what you think about the situation.

If that is the case, they should take the puppy to a shelter, or put an advertisment out for someone who may want the puppy. Putting the dog out on the street is not good. Anything can happen, you said that the puppy was side swiped. Hopefully, someone will adopt the puppy to a nice home.

It's sad, if they don't want the dog and can't be bothered with it they should pass it on to someone else. Now she's friendly but a few bad experiences on her escapes and she might not be so happy around people. I'd be going nuts if our dog was loose. He's a good dog but has issues with people grabbing him by the collar (he was abused and thrown around by previous owners) and he'd probably growl and people would think he was aggressive when he's just scared he's going to be hurt.
