Yes a pay increase would help, but I don't think that it would be the solution. It would just mask the problem being high oil prices. I think that something needs to be done about that first to lower the cost of oil and then the prices for things should go down as well.

July started the salary increase here in Philippines ( CBA ). However, this is not enough to cover the gas hike.
This is basically the yearly increase but not intended for the gas price increase to cover it up.
The best way is to lower the gas price, that's it.

Unfortunatly no, Gas prices continue to rise daily and my income stays the same. Right now I am max out on raises untill I get promoted again, which could be years beofre that happens if it ever dose. It dosen't seem to me like anything is being done about this. If people only realized how it hurts the economy dipping into our spending money. I have had an idea to boycott one gas chain for a month or two only going other places, untill they are forced to lower prices. and just rotate were we go keeping prices lower then they are now, it is just hard to get the message out to enough people to really make it work.
