Do you like to respond to long or short discussions? can you tell me why? i like posting responses to a long discussion, for the discussion starter shares his/her ideas and stories with us, if he/she writes a long one, that means they think a lot about their topics.

when I in responding to any particular discussion than my primary concern is not the size of the discussion but the content of the discussion. If the question is something which is interesting to me then I definitely decide to respond that. But it might be that the question is not that much interesting and I will not be able to do justice to the question and write too much about the topic when I generally tried to avoid it and waste my time on that particular question.
This is one way I avoid responding to trash questions. From observation I personally feel that if you respond to get discussions which get a lot of response then on the amount you called there's get a boost. It is completely my personal observation and I think I can be wrong but I have seen few incidents which gave me such a feel.

As long as the topic interest me then I will respond to it. There are time also I end up just reading the discussion, because I have nothing more to add. There are really a lot of interesting topics here. But most of the time I try to shy away from very lengthy one.
